L. Carey Hite, MD
Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Hite has practiced in Columbia since 1986. He received his bachelors degree from Davidson College and his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina.


Amjad AbdulRahman, MD
Dr. AbdulRahman joined us in  January 2004 and has practiced in South Carolina since June 2000.  He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and a specialist in clinical Hypertension. Dr. AbdulRahman received his bachelor’s degree and medical degree from the University of Aleppo in 1988 and his residency training from St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.


D. Keith Bridgers, MD
Dr. Bridgers joined us in late 2002. He received his bachelors degree from the University of South Carolina and his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
Rosalie E. Browning, MD
Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Browning has been with this practice since 1995. She received her bachelors degree from Central Wesleyan and her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She served as an internist at Dorn Veterans Administration Hospital and as an associate professor of medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

Elizabeth A. Patrick, MD, FACP
Dr. Patrick is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where she attended the Wharton School of Business as well as the School of Medicine. Her postgraduate training was initially in surgery and she completed an Internal Medicine Residency at OHSU. Since graduating from residency January of 1997 she has worked in a number of settings including outpatient, inpatient, nursing home, geropsychiatry and emergency room. Her interests include dive medicine (she is a DAN referral physician) as well as women's issues and dementia. She continues to work at the Dorn VA emergency room. She has been at our Irmo office since 2005.

Sarah Schumacher, DO
Dr. Sarah Schumacher has joined the staff at Three Rivers Medical Associates, PA as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine specializing in Family Medicine and Geriatrics. Dr. Schumacher graduated from the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine and did her residency in Family Medicine at an affiliated Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Phillisburg, NJ. She is also a clincical faculty member at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Prior to her association with Three Rivers Medical, Dr. Schumacher was a part of Senior Primary Care at Palmetto Health. She resides in Chapin with her husband, Dr. Amjad Rahman and their three children.

Louise C. Holmes, MN, RN, CANP
Lou Holmes has been in nursing many years and since 1995 has been a certified adult nurse practitioner. She joined Three Rivers in 1998.
