At Three Rivers Medical Associates, we’re proud to introduce Briana Huyck, MSN, FNP-C, a compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in family and internal medicine. Brie, as she is affectionately called, is dedicated to delivering holistic, relationship-based care that supports the health of every patient and every family she serves.
Born in Pittsburgh and raised in Columbia, Brie earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of South Carolina. Her journey into healthcare began at home, inspired by caring for her grandparents through serious illnesses, an experience that shaped her lifelong commitment to helping others live healthier, fuller lives.
Throughout her career, Brie has built an impressive foundation of clinical experience and accomplishments. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she spent ten years as a registered nurse in critical care, working in both the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU).
As a Nurse Practitioner, Brie worked alongside Dr. Taylor Williams at Lexington Cardiology, where she continued to deepen her expertise in internal medicine and cardiovascular care. During her graduate studies, she was published in AANPunder the supervision of one of her clinical instructors, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
Brie is certified through AANP, ANCC, and TNCC, and she continues to expand her clinical knowledge, currently pursuing certification as a diabetic educator.
What truly sets Brie apart is her holistic approach to care. She believes in treating the whole person, not just the diagnosis, and takes time to truly get to know her patients. Her philosophy is simple, but powerful: she spends the first few minutes of every appointment listening and building trust, because great care starts with genuine connection. She enjoys managing rheumatology and endocrinology cases, takes pride in her diagnostic skills, and aims to minimize unnecessary referrals whenever possible.
For Brie, medicine isn’t just about identifying symptoms, it’s about seeing the whole person.
Outside the office, Brie is a proud mom of three (ages 12, 9, and 5) and two energetic Labrador retrievers. Her family loves spending weekends outdoors, hiking, playing soccer, and exploring South Carolina’s natural beauty. A lifelong athlete and avid runner, Brie frequently participates in local 5Ks and 10Ks. Whether she’s lacing up her running
shoes, cheering from the sidelines, or sneaking in a little shopping, she embraces life with energy and enthusiasm, and brings that same dedication to her patients’ health and well-being.
Whether in the exam room or on a weekend trail, Brie embodies the heart of Three Rivers Medical Associates, providing compassionate, holistic care for every stage of life.
